Passion, Compassion and Inertia: Wimpy ideas or paths to psychic freedom?

The organisation is a stage upon which many dramas are played out. Works like strategic, leadership, and competency abound along with euphemisms such as rightsizing and outplacement. Words such as spirituality and soul have been gradually infiltrating their way into the organisation dialogue. And the game of spot the "learning organisation" or "continuous learning" reference is beginning to lose its appeal for the readers of tenders. Yet these our organisations abound with oppression and systematic discrimination rather than being vehicles for freedom and the beauty of ecstatic experience. My attempts to deal with this scenario have had two consequences that may be of interest to others who desire to contribute to a better world. The first arises from the processes I use in my work. The second is in the process of social and cognitive disengagement and re-engagement, which I found necessary to renew my own passion. The session will, however, not be offered as a boring dialogue of Neville's personal psychic laboratory but rather as a catalyst for group exploration of some of the issues in attempting to create a better world. For those who like to know the focus of sessions, my own input will be around the interplay of Passion, Compassion and Inertia in this journey. I will be prepared to respond to people's interests from and organisational perspective, a personal perspective (yours and mine) either of these or indeed something that has nothing to do with this overview. My preference is for an open process with opportunity for experiential learning.
