UQ Affiliates can purchase an Internet Access account for their staff. This will help keep them connected to work files on or off-campus.

All Internet Access accounts through UQconnect include the following features:

• National dial-up number
• Download quota determined by organisational unit
• Email account
• On-campus wireless
• Virtual Private Network (VPN) access
• Technical Support
• Spam protection

About business affiliate dial-up

1. Accounts can be paid three-monthly, six-monthly or annually; by B-PAY, cheque, cash, EFTPOS, money order or credit card. GST is included in the price.
2. Unlimited usage hours, but maximum call duration is 4 hours. For more information please read out Fair Usage Policy
3. When the account is purchased, your Organisational Unit assigns the account a dedicated amount of monthly downloads. The amount assigned is determined by the Organisational Unit.
4. All email accounts are automatically assigned 20MB storage. You have an option to upgrade your total storage.
5. The Disk Space can be used to save files online for easy access between home and UQ. It can also be used for a web site that can only be viewed at UQ.
6. This account is designed for work purposes and therefore has limited access (sorry, no net banking or instant messaging). If you would like to access these additional services you will need to purchase one of our discounted dial-up or ADSL accounts.
