The Australasian Victorian Studies Journal is published in December each year by the Australasian Victorian Studies Association whose inter-disciplinary nature it reflects: articles from disciplines as diverse as archeology, architecture,art, economics, history, landscape gardening, literature, medicine, philosophy, psychology, science, sociology, spiritualism, town planning and theatre are likely to appear in its pages. The journal is refereed and each issue is usually devoted to a theme reflecting the topic of AVSA's annual conference. View Contents Volumes 1-9 General Editors

SUBMIT
Each issue usually focusses on a general topic which is also the theme of the AVSA's annual conference. Details of forthcoming conferences can be found in our Conference section. PLEASE NOTE THAT SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW NO LONGER LIMITED TO AVSA MEMBERS ONLY.Manuscripts should not exceed 7000 words and should be submitted on a Mac compatible 3.5 floppy disk accompanied by two double-spaced, laser-printed hard copies on A4 white paper. The file on disk should be saved in Microsoft Word Rich Text Format (.rtf) and should be clearly labelled with the author's name, file name and format identification. Alternatively manuscripts may be submitted electronically by file attachment; in this case remember to send your hard copies by snail mail. A brief abstract, a biography of three or four lines, and your email address should be included with your submission.
The deadline for submission is normally 31 May. Please send to the Editors - details above
NB. It is important to note that the Journal style follows that of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, Fifth Edition (1999) using parenthetical documentation and a list of works cited; footnotes should be kept to a minimum.
