This setup guide is intended to setup dial-up networking under Macintosh OS 9 with a modem already installed

| 1)Select the 'Apple' menu. |
| 2)Select 'Control Panels'. |
| 3)Select 'TCP/IP'. |

| 4)Ensure 'Connect via' is set to 'PPP'. |
| 5)Ensure 'Configure' is set to 'Using PPP Server'. |
| 6)Enter in the 'Name server addr.' numbers exactly as shown. |
| 7)Close the 'TCP/IP' window. |

| 8)Choose [Save] to save the configuration changes. |
| 9)Select the 'Apple' menu. |
| 10)Select 'Control Panels'. |
| 11)Select 'Remote Access'. |

| 12)Enter in the Username and Password of your account with UQconnect. |
| 13)'Save password' is a personal preference and can be ticked or left unticked as desired. |
| 14)Enter in the UQconnect national dial in number 0198307170. |
| 15)Click [Options] to continue. |

| 16)Ensure 'Redial' is set to 'Off'. |
| 17)Select the 'Connection' tab. |

| 18)Ensure 'Flash icon in menu bar while connected' is the only option ticked. |
| 19)Select the 'Protocol' tab. |

| 20)Ensure 'Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications' and 'Allow error correction and compression in modem' is the only options ticked. |
| 21)Click [OK] to continue. |

| 22)Click [Save] to save the configuration changes. |

| 23)To start the dial in attempt select the 'Apple' menu. |
| 24)Select 'Remote Access Status'. |

| 25)Choose [Connect] to start the dial in. |
