| 1)Click on the 'Apple' menu. |

| 2)Select 'System Preferences...'. |

| 3)Select the 'Network' icon. |

| Note: You may see a screen similar to above depending on which network devices are configured on your Mac. If you see these screen, choose 'Internal Modem' and 'Configure' to continue |

| 4)Enter in the 'Service Provider' name as 'UQ' and the 'Account Name' and 'Password' of your account with UQconnect as well as the UQconnect National dial in number 0198307170. |
| 5)Click [PPP Options...]. |

| 6)Above are the recommended 'Session Options' settings but these can be altered to suit personal preferences. |
| 7)Ensure that only 'Send PPP echo packets' and 'Use TCP header compression' remains ticked. |
| 8)Click [OK]. |

| 9)Select the 'TCP/IP' tab. |
| 10)Enter in the 'DNS Server' numbers exactly as shown. |
| 11)Click [Apply Now]. |
| 12)Select the 'Modem' tab. |

| 13)Select the name of the modem which is setup on your Macintosh. This name will vary depending on the brand of modem you are using. |
| 14)Ensure that 'Enable error correction and compression in modem' is ticked. |
| 15)Ensure that the 'Country Setting' is set to 'Australia'. |
| 16)Click [Apply Now]. |
| 17)Select the 'PPP' tab. |

| 18)Click [Dial Now] to start the dial in after ensuring your modem is connected to the phone line. |
