1)Select the [Apple] menu.
2)Select 'System Preferences...'.
3)Select the 'Network' icon.
4)Ensure 'Configure' is set to 'Using PPP'.
5)Enter in the 'DNS Servers' numbers exactly as shown.
6)Select the 'PPP' tab.
7)Enter in the 'Service Provider' name as 'UQ' and the 'Account Name' and 'Password' of your account with UQconnect as well as the UQconnect National dial in number 0198307170.
8)Click [PPP Options...].
9)Above are the recommended 'Session Options' settings but these can be altered for personal preferences.
10)Ensure that only 'Send PPP echo packets' and 'Use TCP header compression' remains ticked.
11)Click [OK] to continue.
12)Select the 'Modem' tab.
13)Select the name of the modem which is setup on your Macintosh. This name will vary depending on the brand of modem you are using.
14)Ensure that 'Enable error correction and compression in modem' is ticked.
15)Ensure the 'Country Setting' is set to 'Australia'.
16)Click [Apply Now].
17)Close the window.
18)If you see the 'Apply configuration changes?' dialogue box choose 'Apply'.
