Creating a Connection
1)Vista Start
2)Select 'Connect To'
3)Select 'Setup a new connection'
4)Select 'Set a dial-up connection'
5)Click [Next]
6)Enter 0198307170 as the dial-up phone number
7)Enter your username and password
8)Enter 'UQconnect' as the connection name
9)Click [Connect]
Vista will attempt to dial-up to the internet. If your phoneline is available Vista will connect. If your phoneline is occupied vista will not be able to connect and the following will appear.
10)Select 'Set this connection anyway' and follow the 'Connect to the internet' section on this guide when your phone line is available.
Connecting to the internet
1)Vista Start
2)Select 'connect to'
3)Select your 'UQconnect' connection
4)Click [Connect]
5)Click [Dial]
If you're using this connection for the first time Vista will prompt you to setup firewall settings.
The following is recommneded for dial-up.
6)Click 'Public Location'
7)Click [Close]
Disconnecting from the Internet
1)Vista Start
2)Select 'connect to'
3)Select your 'UQconnect' connection
4)Select 'Disconnect'
