1)Click [Start]
2)Select 'Control Panel'
3)Select 'Switch to Classic View' unless you are already in the Classic View
4)Double-click on 'Network Connections'
5)Select 'Create a new connection'
6)Click [Next] to continue
7)Put a dot in the 'Connect to the Internet' option
8)Click [Next] to continue
9)Put a dot in the 'Set up my connection manually' option
10)Click [Next] to continue
11)Put a dot in the 'Connect using a dial-up modem' option
12)Click [Next] to continue
13)Enter in the ISP Name as 'UQ'
14)Click [Next] to continue
15)Enter in the the UQconnect national dial in number 0198307170.
16)Click [Next] to continue
17)Enter in the Username and Password of your account with UQconnect. You also need to type your password a second time in the 'Confirm password' field to ensure it has been entered correctly.
18)Click [Next] to continue
19)Put a tick in 'Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop' checkbox
20)Click [Finish] to save the settings
21)Click [Dial] to start the dial in. You may see a 'Connection Established' screen at this stage which is for your information only and can be [closed].
Whilst you are connected you will see an icon: on your systray taskbar (which is normally in the lower right hand corner next to the time). You can right-click on this icon and choose [disconnect] whenever you wish to terminate the connection.
