The eduroam network provides secure access to the UQ network. Follow the guides to pre-configure your computer for access to Eduroam. You are also able to use this network on other Eduroam campuses around the globe using your UQ Credentials to access the internet. It is the recommended network for all UQ Students.
VPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to create a secure connection to a private network (such as the UQnet, which is the University's network) over public access lines. This connection will act as if it is on the actual private network. This gives you full access to most services found on the private network (such as certain web pages etc). You may also need to enable the VPN while using the UQconnect Wireless Network.

Dial-Up is provided free of charge for all Students. You have unlimted quota. Please check the Guides for help with setting up Dial-Up.

- How much download quota do I get?
- All students recieve 3 gigabytes of download quota per month. This is re-instated on the 1st of every month.
