Prerequisites

  • To access Exchange Labs, you need the Windows Live ID that was given for use with Exchange Labs and your password. The Windows Live ID account is also your primary e-mail address and includes the name of the domain, for example, firstname.lastname@uqconnect.edu.au). To confirm that your username and password are valid go to: https://outlook.com
  • Internet connectivity recommended

Using a Windows Mobile 6.x Phone

  1. On the mobile device, from the home screen, click Start, and then click ActiveSync.
  2. Click Menu, and then click Configure Server.
  3. Enter the server address as: m.exchangelabs.com.
  4. Select the 'This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection' check box.
  5. Click [Next].
  6. Enter your @uqconnect.edu.au email address and email password. Leave domain blank.
  7. Select the Save password check box.
  8. Click [Next].
  9. Select the check box next to each type of information that you want to synchronize with the server, and then click [Finish].

Using a Windows Mobile 5.x Phone

  1. On the mobile device, from the home screen, click Start, Programs and then click ActiveSync.
  2. Click Menu, and then click Add Server Source or Configure Server.
  3. Enter the server address. The server address is: m.exchangelabs.com.
  4. Select the This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection check box.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter your @uqconnect.edu.au email address and email password. In domain enter @uqconnect.edu.au.
  7. Select the Save password check box.
  8. Click [Next].
  9. Select the check box next to each type of information that you want to synchronize with the server, and then click [Finish].
  10. When prompted regarding polices select [Yes].
