Installation VPN Client
1) Download for Windows 2000/XP/Vista (32bit Only)
2)Run the downloaded installer and select [ NEXT ] / [ YES ] when prompted as there is no special configuration needed.
Establishing the VPN connection
Before connecting using VPN, check that you are connected to the internet.
1)Start VPN by 'Start button'
2)'All Programs'
3)'Cisco Systems VPN CLient'
4)'VPN Client'
You can also find the VPN Client by pressing the 'Windows Key' and type 'vpn client' and press enter
5)Connect can connect to UQ's VPN service by eith highlighing the connection and pressing [Connect] or just double left click on the connection entry
6)Enter your UQ username & password can select [ OK ]. This will now initiate a connection attempt.

If the connection was successful the VPN box should dissappear and a vpn padlock icon will appear in the task bar
Disconnecting from the VPN Connection
1)Double click on the VPN Client Icon on system tray
2)Click [Disconnect].
The status bar will change from 'Disconnecting IPSec link...' to 'Not connected'.
Please wait until the status is 'Not connected'
