When prompted for your Username, enter it in the following format - username@uq.edu.au. For example, a student's eduroam username is s1234567@uq.edu.au, while a staff member's username is uqaexamp@uq.edu.au.
These guides are current for Android 2.3.6. Instructions for earlier and later versions of the software should vary only slightly. ITS recommends always running the latest version of your client software.
Follow these steps to connect your Android device to the Eduroam Wireless Network.
- Step 1
- a)From the home screen go menu >> settings
- b)Tap Wireless & Networks
- c)Turn on WiFi
- Step 2
- a)Tap Add Wi-Fi network
- b)Enter the following;
Network SSID: eduroam (all lowercase) Security: 802.x EAP EAP Method: TTLS Phase 2 Authentication: PAP CA certificate: (unspecified) User certificate: (unspecified) Identify: yourusername@uq.edu.au eg.s123456@uq.edu.au Anonymous Identity: none Password: your password - c)Tap [ Connect ] These settings will be saved against the network.
