- Creating a Connection
- Step 1

- 1)Click on the AirPort status icon
- 2)Click on [ Open Network Preferences... ]
- Step 2

- 1)Click [ Advanced ]
- Step 3

- 1)Click [ 802.1X ]
- 2)Click [ + ]
- 3)Click [ Add User Profile ]
- Step 4

- 1)Type eduroam as the profile name
- 2)Enter your UQ username as username@uq.edu.au. Setting a password is optional
- 3)Ensure only TTLS is checked
- 4)With TTLS selected, click [ Configure... ]
- Step 5

- 1)Set the TTLS Inner Authentication to PAP
- 2)Click [ OK ]
- Step 6

- 1)Click [ OK ]
- Step 7

- 1)Click [ Apply ]
- 2)Click [ Advanced ]
- Step 8

- 1)Click [+]
- Step 9

- 1)Type network name eduroam
- 2)Set security to [ WPA Enterprise ]
- 3)Set 802.1X to [ eduroam ]. If you have set username and password it will automatically be filled from your eduraom profile
- 4)Click [ Remember this network ]
- 5)Click [ Add ]
- Step 10

- 1)Click [ OK ]
- Step 11

- 1)Click [ Apply ]
- Connecting to eduroam

Please ensure you are in a UQConnect WiFi Zone
- Step 1 - Turning on AirPort

- 1)Click the Airport Icon
- 2)Click [ Turn AirPort On ]
- Step 2 - Connecting to Eduroam

- 1)Click the Airport Icon
- 2)Click [ eduroam ]
- Step 3 - Login (if you haven't saved the password in previous steps)

- 1)Enter your username and/or password. Note: Username is in uqusername@uq.edu.au format
- 2)Click [ OK ]
- Security Certificate
- First time connecting you will receive a security certificate warning.

- 1)Click [ Continue ] to accept the certificate
