Orr...
I was born February 21, 1943 in Vincennes, Indianna (southwest Indianna on the Wabash River). I have four sisters (Rollena, Becky, Renna and Beth) and two brothers (James and Terry). My father, John, was Chief of Police in Vincennes. My uncle, Ralphe, was Fire Chief during the same period.
My grandfather had a 42-acre farm near Vincennes and grew corn, wheat and hay. I was a good source of cheap labor during the summer vacation from school, and I believe I lifted enough hay bales to build two pyramids!!!! I attended Lincoln High School, and graduated in May, 1961. I entered the United States Air Force in September, 1961 and retired from active military duty in 1985. While serving with the Air Force, I was transferred to Anchorage, Alaska, and spent a total of seventeen years there (fourteen as a civilian after retirement). In September, 1999, I moved to the beautiful little town of Spearfish, South Dakota. I lived on 3.2 acres...really a big weed patch! I think I should have bought some chickens!
In Spearfish, I liked to golf and attend the Sunday afternoon band concerts in the park. I also enjoyed fly-fishing in the many streams around the area. I decided to learn how to paint in oils a couple of years ago, and find it very relaxing. I enjoy chatting with friends on the Internet, and I use Search Engines to look for Native American flutes to add to my small collection of instruments. I even have an Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo (a wind instrument consisting of a wooden pipe about 6' long and 2" in diameter on which complex rhythmic patterns are played more or less on one note). Now, I have to prepare some information about my lifestyle in Brisbane, Australia where the sun shines every day and the living is easy!
