Bacon and Onion Fettucine


Ingredients

250 g fettucine
3 cups boiling water
1 tblsp butter
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 rashers of bacon, chopped
¼ cup cream
1 tblsp parmesan cheese
2 tblsp parsley, finely chopped
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
¼ tsp salt
1 tblsp extra Parmesan cheese

 

Method

This is another recipe for the microwave oven:

Place the fettucine and boiling water in a casserole dish. Cover and cook on High for 10 minutes (stir half way through). Allow to stand for 2 minutes and drain in a colander.

Place the butter in a covered casserole dish and cook on High for 30 seconds. Add the onion, garlic and bacon. Cook, covered, on High for 5 minutes. Add cream, parmesan cheese, parsley, seasonings and the drained fettucine. Mix well. Cook on High for 2 minutes.

Serve sprinkled with the extra parmesan cheese.
