About the UQconnect Wireless Broadband Plans
- An early termination fee may apply if you cease your contract before its full 6 month completion.
- Payment periods are paid either three-monthly, six-monthly or annually; by cash, cheque, money order, eftpos, credit card or B-PAY.
- This is the maximum speed achievable depending on reception strength. Speeds may vary due to environment (ie hills, building etc). Speeds are presented in downstream/upstream format, e.g. 512/128represents up to 512kbps downstream/128kbps upstream (kbps = kilobits per second).
- 1 full email and up to 4 FreEmails
- If you exhaust your download before the end of the month, then your speed will be shaped to 64k but you will still have access to the Internet. To return to full speed before then of the month, you will have the option to purchase a one off block of download quota that will last 30 days.
- A static IP can be purchased if required.
- Cancellation within the initial six month period will require you paying out the remaining cost.
- Requests to change the speed of connection will incur a $30 fee.
- To transfer from another iBurst provider you must be with them for a minimum of 1 month before applying to transfer your iBurst hardware.
- To change any of your details you must go through the application process again and select the appropriate options.
- If you would like to reactivate a service that has expired, a re-connection fee may apply.

Wireless Broadband modems
You have to purchase one of our iBurst modems when you sign up to our service, as your account activation is connected to your modem. If you have had iBurst with a seperate provider, you can transfer across your old Modem and save that way.

About the iBurst Wireless Broadband Modems
- Modems must be purchased as part of your contract as the activation code is attached to the modem.
- If you have had Wireless Broadband with another iBurst provider, you can bring that modem across.
