The Posture and Flexibility stretching method was devised by the extraordinary polymath Kit Laughlin, who works through the Sports Union, Australian National University, Canberra. The method is further described in books such as Stretching and Flexibility, which along with a lot of other information can be obtained through their website. The method does not just deal with stretching, but with muscular and skeletal health generally. A 3-video set is available (currently PAL format, but soon in NTSC format and DVD), going through all the exercises in the technique.
I recently attended a 4-day National Workshop in Canberra (December 2002). The pre-exaustion class was for me particularly outstanding. Pre-exaustion is an extremely powerful technique that gives very rapid increases in flexibility, without any soreness afterwards.
