RACQ The Road Ahead [Periodic magazine produced by the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland.]
|
"If you are planning a lengthy stay in or moving to the USA, the site should be part of your research. Written by an expatriate Australian, the site aims to make life a little bit easier. You won't find the answer to any deep philosophical questions but you will find out where to buy vegemite (Asian grocery stores apparently). Information collected includes advice on food, culture, immigration, and how to contact the Australian embassy. Also included is a very handy noticeboard where travellers can post snippets such as special events, leave messages for friends, and any general advice they have picked up. The site may not be as sophisticated as some in design and layout, but the quality of the information is excellent." |

"If you're travelling to the U.S. - or know anyone who is - this site is a must. Even if you're not going anywhere, its still amusing. It explains all those little differences between America and Australia, such as why you'll get slapped in the face in a cafe if you ask for buttered buns." |
