PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: A
major town southeast of Udaipur, it was the estate of Kunwar Khandal
Singh, who, with the title of 'Rawat', held first rank amongst the
nobles of Mewar (the First 16 Umraos), it later became the capital of
the Chundawat clan. Rulers were ....
- Rawat CHUNDA SINGH, eldest son and heir of Maharana Lakha
of Mewar, he renounced his claim to
the throne of Mewar in favour of his younger brother, but continued to
serve the house of Mewar with utmost loyalty throughout his life, for
which the Rawats of Salumber were honoured by being authorised by the
Maharana to sign all important documents of State on his behalf; he
married and had issue.

one daughter and one son.

29th January
1983, Rajkumari Gayatri Kumari of Bhinga,
