The Noble 'Akau'olaborn 27th June 1967, officially became the matapule ‘Akau’ola at a ceremony at his home on the island of Taunga in Vava’u on 17th January 2006; educated in the United Kingdom and graduated from Massey University in New Zealand; Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries; High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and the Director of the Commonwealth; Head of Department with the Ministry of Civil Aviation till 18th January 2006; married Hon. Vangana Kolokesa Cowley, and has issue, four children.

  9. Hon. Siaosi Filiaipulotu Faletau [The Noble 'Akau'ola], 12th 'Akau'ola [xx.11.1954] - [31.12.1995], born 13th August 1935, Minister of Police. He died sp 31st December 1995 in Taunga, Vava'u.

  10. Hon 'Inoke Fotu Faletau C.V.O. [The Noble 'Akau'ola], 13th 'Akau'ola [xx.1.1996]- [6.10.2005], born 24th June 1937 at Neiafu, Vava’u;  educated at St. Peter's School, Cambridge, New Zealand, at Tonga High School in Nuku’alofa, and at Auckland Grammar in New Zealand, he further studied at the University of Wales, Swansea, and Manchester University in the United Kingdom; he began working for the Government of Tonga as a Junior Clerk of the Ministry of Finance in 1958, and three years later (1961), he became the Official Translator and Acting Chief Clerk at the Prime Minister’s Office before he was promoted to Assistant Secretary to Government in 1965 and then as Secretary to Government in 1968; he was appointed as Tonga’s High Commissioner to Great Britain in October 1972, concurrent with his appointee as Tonga’s Ambassador to France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Luxembourg, Italy, Russia, USA, European Economic Community EEC, Council of Europe, UNESCO and the Food and Agriculture Organization FAO; he was again appointed the Senior High Commissioner and Doyen of the Diplomatic Corps to the Royal Court of St James, Great Britain in 1982; Director of the Commonwealth Foundation 1985/1993; Deputy Secretary of the Prime Minister’s office (Tonga); Secretary for Fisheries 1996/2005; Governor of Vava'u 2002/2005; his awards and honours are, Knight Grand Cross, Order of Merit, Federal Republic of Germany [1975]; Order of Merit, Luxembourg; Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee Medal [1977]; Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, U.K. [1993]; Queen Beatrix Coronation Medal; King Taufa’ahau Tupou IV Silver Jubilee Medal [1995]; Human Resource Development Fellow, University of Manchester [1989]; Honourary Fellow, University of Wales, Swansea [1990]; married Hon. Ma'ata 'Evelini Hurrell, daughter of Tohi Koula Helu (see Helu), and his wife, Susan Hurrell, and had issue. He died 6th October 2005 at Vaiola Hospital in Nuku'alofa and was buried in Neiafu on 13th October 2005.
