Lady Singing, Rajasthan 17th C

Music is love in search of a word.
~ Sidney Lanier

Peripatetica's musical explorations are as eclectic and esoteric as her content in general. In this section you will find downloadable compositions from the forthcoming CD, "Moments of Englightenment" by Thing Else, as well as introductory material on learing to play Djembe, Tabla and Didgeridoo and beginning to master Harmonic Singing and Chanting.

Here for your amusement, bemusement, or perhaps even pleasure, if you are particularly deaf, is the first composition I ever completed - Imperfect Equanimity (Goenkaji's Rap).

It was inspired by the chanting of S.N Goenka, as heard during his ten day Vipassana meditation courses - and made using Fruity Loops and a sizable dollop of irreverence.

If you're game - here's the mp3.
